Disbursement

• The scholarship is presented annually and is a one-time award.
• The award amount for the 2010 - 2011 school year is $1000 US.
• The award will be presented at the G. Ray Bodley High School commencement ceremony.
• The award may be used toward tuition, books or instructional supplies.

2009-2010

We are proud to have Alexis Semeraro as our 2010 scholarship recipient. Alexis was selected for a $1000 gift based on her application and outstanding art portfolio.

We expect to see Alexis’ name in lights someday.  Her goal is to become an animator and film producer and help produce media for companies like Disney or Dreamworks. She has already established an impressive track record as winner of the 2003 Harborfest drawing contest, third place in the 2009 Memorial Day Salute poster contest and 2010 winner of the G. Ray Bodley Mural Contest. Alexis will begin pursuit of her career goals at the Rochester Institute of Technology in Fall 2010 where she is enrolled in the Media Arts Program. Aside from art, Alexis is a High Honors student, is active in the community and manages to work a part-time job. Alexis is the daughter of John and Brenda Semeraro.

We are proud to have Abigail Grimshaw as our 2009 scholarship recipient. Abigail was selected for a $1000 gift based on their application and outstanding art portfolio. Abigail will be attending NYC's Fashion Institute of Technology.

2007-2008

We are proud to have Sydney Scruton as our 2008 scholarship recipient. Sydney was selected for a $1000 gift based on their application and art portfolio. Sydney will be attending Finger Lakes Community College for two years before transferring to another school to study fine arts.

We are proud to have Rachel Higgins as our 2007 scholarship recipient. Rachel was selected for a $1000 gift based on their application and art portfolio.

We are proud to have Jessica Henderson as our 2006 scholarship recipient. Jessica was selected for a $1000 gift based on their application and art portfolio.

We are proud to have Tara Warwick as our 2005 scholarship recipient. Each student is selected for a $1000 gift based on their application and art portfolio.

Miss Warwick will be attending the University of Buffalo to major in art.

We are proud to have Matt Hill as our 2004 scholarship recipient. Each student is selected for a $1000 gift based on their application and art portfolio.

Matt attended SUNY Buffalo where he majored in fine art. He graduated in 2008 and is now teaching.
